Community charter

Kowo is a place where strangers turn their cameras on to work side by side. That only works if everyone can do it with confidence. Hence this charter: short, simple, non negotiable.

The three rules

1. We come to work. Rooms are workspaces, not dating spaces. Insistent personal solicitation has no place here.
2. We respect each other’s presence. No screenshots or recordings of participants, no comments about anyone’s appearance, home or accent.
3. We stay kind. No harassment, no discrimination, no hateful or sexually explicit content. In any room, public or private.

Camera and microphone

The camera is never an obligation imposed by Kowo: each room displays its own rules before you enter. If a room requires the camera and it is not your day, pick another one. Nobody has to justify themselves.

Reporting and moderation

Every room and every participant can be reported in two clicks. Room creators can remove a participant immediately. Accounts that break this charter are suspended, permanently in case of repeat or serious offence.

The spirit

When in doubt, one question is enough: does my behaviour help others work in peace? If the answer is not an obvious yes, refrain.
